On the contrary we are anti political. Why should we look to an institution such as politics to solve the most pressing problems of humanity that they simply have no power to fix?
That would be the worst of all situations. Jesus didn’t call for it. He didn’t overthrow the Romans. Insted he laid life down as a servant.
When we say no authority but Christ, let it be clear that this is not asking for a government run by God. Not till Christ will turn to earth at the end of the age will such a thing exist.
Rebellion for the sake of being rebellious is not at all what we are about. Christian Anarchy is not an excuse to justify your own secret desires to break the law.
But the gospel itself is the great revolt and countercultural. The revolution.
We believe Christ taught ultimate service to one another in the act of slavery in love and submission to one another. We think Christ taught and lived this and we strive to be like Him.
We believe that Christ is all in all, and that nothing else is worthy of our worship or submission. This may mean sacrifice, loss, and suffering but there is simply nothing else on this earth to live for.
We by no means claim to live up to what we are vouching for. The last thing we want to portray is that we have all the answers and have got it together when everyone else is living it wrong. God forbid! We are a bunch of lying hypocrites clinging on to God for grace to rid ourselves of selfish ambition and to be filled with the love and life of Christ.
